Hazelnut

Hazelnut has many nutritional properties and values, so it prevents many diseases. For every 30 grams of hazelnuts, which equates to an average of 23 nuts, there are 183 calories. This amount of hazelnuts has 18.5 grams of fat, 8.5 grams of carbohydrates, 3.4 grams of protein and about 2 grams of water.

Hazelnuts with a special oil (oleic acid), protein, carbohydrates, beta-sitosterol, vitamins and essential minerals have a special place among other nuts.
Therefore, consuming 25 to 30 grams of hazelnuts per day protects the body against both heart disease and cancer.

Properties of Hazelnut

Research shows that hazelnuts are very good for heart health. The presence of healthy antioxidants and fatty acids increases the antioxidant capacity of hazelnuts and lowers blood cholesterol levels. A one-month study was performed on 21 people with high cholesterol levels. These people got 18 to 20% of their daily calories from eating hazelnuts. The results showed that cholesterol, triglycerides and bad cholesterol or LDL were reduced in them.

Studies also show that eating hazelnuts lowers blood fats and increases vitamin E levels. In fact, the presence of fatty acids, dietary fiber, antioxidants, potassium and magnesium seems to help balance blood pressure.
